Exploring the high energy universe … by balloon
Time: Wed 2018-04-04 12.15 - 13.00
Lecturer: Mark Pearce - School of Engineering Sciences, KTH
Location: South East Gallery, KTH Library
Neutron stars and black holes are amongst the most powerful sources of radiation in the universe. A new type of telescope built at KTH has recently shed new light on these enigmatic objects. Observations are made from the top of the atmosphere using a helium-filled balloon which is double the size of Globen!
