The Division of Nuclear Power Safety (NPS) aims to (i) be integrated in Severe Accident (SA) research in EU and worldwide, (ii) join pan-European SA laboratory, (iii) contribute in preparation of SA research roadmaps, and (iv) develop Severe Accident Management (SAM) for PWRs and BWRs.
We specialize on multi-disciplinary research that covers severe accident phenomena, reactor transients, advanced modeling and simulations, Gen III+ and IV systems, multiphase flow and heat transfer, and integrated deterministic-probabilistic safety analysis.
